Compared with other hotels in Venice, the price was very reasonable, the room (double-room) was spacious and the service was indeed impressive. It is also conveniently located (near Accademia). I hope I will be able to be back in the future!

We had a beautiful big bedroom. The hotel was very easy to get to from the vaporette. The staff were helpful & friendly at all times. Lemon tea was freely available which was a very nice touch when returning to the hotel after sightseeing. Very good continental breakfast Lovely outdoor areas to sit in.

Our 2 adult sons were travelling with us & their single rooms were very small. The rooms tended to get rather hot even though it was Oct & when the windows were open in our room there was sometimes a horrible smell, which was not from the canal. At that time of year the air con was not in use. The single rooms did not have the smell.

I loved the ambiance of the hotel, the gardens, friendly staff, location was perfect by the Accademia, wonderful restaurant just across the canal, lovely buffet breakfast.

It is very well located, near the Accademia vaparetto stop, and there is a very good restaurant opposite the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and our room overlooked the garden and was charming. Good breakfast too.

I believe that the hotel was conducted extremely professionallythe breakfast service was very good the gardens were delightfulbut the men who conducted the reception were almost unfriendly...but otherwise a great hotel.

We like everything about it. Location, atmosphere, staff, all pefect.

It was quiet, discreet, beautiful, gracious, tranquil.

Morning coffee not great.

The front desk staff were cheery in the morning and very helpful for city guides, and arranging a water taxi; including allowing for a delivery of 1-1/2 case of wine to be stored when we were not present. the outdoor patio breakfast garden was lovely.

Nothing. Everything was fine. We had a quiet and comfortable room.

Location, service and cleanliness. It was very good value for money, among the best I have been at anywhere in Europe.

There is no lift, and for older people who live on floors one and two (and younger ones who have heavy luggage), it might well be a steep climb up and down.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The gardens and the building surpassed expectations. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast service was good.

I have no complaints about the hotel. There was however the problem of noise from a night club across the canal, en route to the Accademia, which went onto 4am on two mornings which perhaps the hotel can investigate for the benefit of other clients.

We most enjoyed the beautiful patios and gardens. In addition, the staff was delightful and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast each day on the patio overlooking a canal and had wine in the center garden each evening. These quiet moments framed our busy days in Venice. The location, near the Accademia Bridge, was convenient for touriing Venice on foot. Finally, our room was lovely for a small European hotel. The room had hardwood floors and antique furniture. The bathroom, though modest, provided a well working shower and tub. We most definitely would stay there again!

We were on the canal side and loved having our windows open at night. However, we soon learned that the street noise from a nearby bridge could be pretty loud. It was cool when we were there so we could shut the windows but in the hotter weather, it might be an issue.

Excellent location near the Accademia Gallery. Very friendly reception staff. Kettle in the room (unusual for hotels outside Britain) was a nice touch.

Bed was a bit soft for my liking.

The location was excellent - quiet, and away from busy tourist areas, yet within easy walking distance of San Marco square and the shops. Positioned on a canal, the hotel was able to be reached by water taxi or gondola. The picturesque gardens surrounding the hotel added to the ambience and was a delightful place to sit in the evening or to have breakfast. Breakfast menu was varied and very adequate. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The decor in the rooms was a little drab, but spotlessly clean. The bar closed early in the evening and we were unable to get a coffee or late night drink.
